​I have a long history with Defence, including 25 years in the Royal Australian Navy. Initially serving as a Communications sailor and manager, then as a Commissioned Officer in charge of the Navy contribution to Defence's Indigenous programs and policies. I am passionate about the self-empowerment of First Nations communities and the continuation of our unique Cultural knowledge and traditions.

In my time as Navy Indigenous Advisor, I noted a lack of cohesion between First Nations Communities, Government and Business efforts. I created Sheppard Strategic Solutions as a way of building connections, to create strategies that deliver resources where they can create the most value - to the organisations and to grassroots communities.
